Terms of Service
Effective Date: March 25, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern all detailing, washing, and related services provided by Seashine Marine Detailing LLC ("Seashine," "we," "us," or "our") to any vessel owner or authorized representative ("Client" or "you"). By scheduling or receiving any service from Seashine Marine Detailing LLC, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. These Terms are incorporated by reference into any written Service Agreement between Seashine and the Client.
1. Service Agreement Term
There is no fixed term to any service agreement with Seashine. Either party may cancel at any time for any reason. Seashine asks for a minimum of 48 hours’ advance notice. We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time, with continued use of our services constituting acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Scope of Services
Seashine provides professional boat washing, detailing, and related cosmetic services as specified in the applicable Service Agreement. All service charges are based on the agreed scope of work and the time reserved for your vessel, not solely on the completion of specific tasks.
For reference, typical service windows are as follows:
-
Initial full detail or wax on a boat under 30 feet: 8 or more work hours
-
Regular bi-weekly or weekly maintenance wash: 3 to 5 hours
-
Standard detailing appointments may be extended by up to 2 hours to ensure thorough completion
If our team completes the scheduled work in less than the reserved time, the agreed charge will not be reduced, as that time block has been committed exclusively to your vessel. Any alterations or additions beyond the standard service checklist will be quoted separately and must be approved by you in writing before work begins.
3. Scheduling & Cancellation
All detailing schedules are the responsibility of the Client. Schedule changes must be submitted to Seashine in writing at least 48 hours in advance. The following cancellation policy applies:
-
More than 48 hours’ notice: No cancellation fee
-
Less than 48 hours’ notice: A cancellation fee equal to 50% of the scheduled service amount may apply
-
Same-day cancellation or no-show:Â The full agreed service amount is due
-
Vessel inaccessible upon arrival:Â The full agreed service amount is due
Seashine reserves the right to cancel or reschedule services due to staffing, weather, or circumstances beyond our control. We will provide prompt notice of any such cancellation.
4. Weather Policy
In the event of severe or inclement weather that Seashine determines makes travel or service unsafe, your appointment will be rescheduled at no penalty to either party. You will be notified promptly by phone or email. Seashine shall not be held liable for delays or cancellations resulting from weather or other acts of nature.
5. Client Preparation & Vessel Access
To allow our team to work efficiently and safely, the Client agrees to the following prior to each service visit:
-
Ensure the vessel is accessible, including arranging dock or marina gate access in advance
-
Remove or secure personal belongings, loose gear, cash, jewelry, and other valuables
-
Disarm any onboard security system, or provide disarm instructions to our office in advance
-
Provide keys if required for vessel access
-
Provide access to running water (hose bib) and shore power; if Seashine must supply a generator, an additional charge of $50 per day applies
Storage compartments or areas cluttered with gear may not be detailed. If areas require clearing by our team, additional time will be billed accordingly. For safety, we ask that no persons remain inside the vessel while detailing is in progress. If you prefer a specific area not be serviced, please leave a written note and secure access to that area before our arrival.
6. Quality Assurance
Seashine Marine Detailing is committed to exceptional service. If you are unsatisfied with any aspect of our work, you must notify us within 24 hours of service completion so we can address the issue at your next scheduled service. Concerns raised outside this window cannot be accommodated. Seashine does not offer refunds or discounts but will correct any documented oversight at no additional charge. We encourage Clients to participate in a brief inspection at the time of service completion.
7. Damage Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability
Seashine exercises the utmost care when working on your vessel. By engaging our services, you acknowledge and agree to the following:
-
Seashine is not responsible for pre-existing damage, improper installations, structural deterioration, rotted or weakened decking, corrosion, oxidation, cracked or scratched windshields or hull, or any other condition attributable to normal wear, aging, or prior use
-
All surfaces are assumed to be sealed and ready for detailing; if you have concerns about any surface, please notify us in advance
-
Seashine is not responsible for dock lines, mooring, or the security of the vessel to a dock or trailer
-
Our team members will not move objects over 20 pounds and will only service areas that are safely accessible
-
Seashine’s maximum liability for any claim arising from services rendered is limited to the amount paid by the Client for the specific service in question; we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
In the unlikely event that accidental damage occurs during service, our team will immediately notify you and document the incident. Seashine will cooperate in good faith to resolve the matter promptly and fairly.
8. Service Limitations
Seashine does not service engine compartments or any mechanical components. Our team will not pull appliances or other fixtures from their installed positions. Areas that are not safely reachable will not be cleaned. If you have items or areas you would like excluded from service, please notify our office in advance and, where possible, secure access to those areas.
9. Special Requests & Add-On Services
For services outside the standard scope, such as post-paint or post-repair cleaning, hull cleaning, canvas care, or teak work, please contact Seashine at least 48 hours before your scheduled appointment. Estimates provided remotely are subject to adjustment upon on-site inspection. All approved additional charges must be confirmed in writing before work begins.
10. Payment Terms
Payment is due in full upon completion of services unless otherwise specified in a written Service Agreement. Accepted payment methods include cash, check, Zelle, Venmo, and other approved electronic payment platforms.
-
Jobs exceeding $1,000:Â A 50% deposit is required prior to commencement
-
Returned checks:Â A $30.00 returned-check fee applies
-
Late payment:Â Balances unpaid beyond 30 days are subject to a $25 late fee plus interest at 12% per annum, accruing monthly
In the event that collection action is necessary, the Client agrees to pay all reasonable costs of collection, including attorney’s fees, court costs, and related expenses. Seashine reserves the right to pursue all remedies available under Florida law, including placement of a lien on the vessel for non-payment.
11. Our Detailing Team
We carry workers’ compensation insurance and provide all detailing supplies, tools, and equipment. We make every effort to assign the same team to your vessel for each job, but staffing changes due to illness, scheduling, or other factors may occasionally result in a different team. Seashine team members have signed non-solicitation agreements and are prohibited from soliciting work directly from Clients for a period of three (3) years following their employment with Seashine.
12. Feedback & Referral Program
Seashine values your feedback. If you have comments or concerns about your service, please contact us promptly. We also offer a referral credit: when a client you refer completes their first paid service with Seashine, you will receive a discount applied to your next service. Contact us for current referral credit amounts.
13. Photography & Marketing
By engaging Seashine, you grant us permission to photograph or record your vessel before, during, and after services for quality control and marketing purposes, including use on our website and social media channels. If you prefer that your vessel not be photographed, please notify us in writing prior to service.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the appropriate courts of the county in which services were rendered.
15. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with any written Service Agreement executed between Seashine and the Client, constitute the entire agreement between the parties with respect to the subject matter hereof and supersede all prior discussions and representations. Seashine reserves the right to update these Terms at any time; the current version will always be posted on our website.
